Finding spurled pages
The Spurl bar is the easiest way to access your "spurls" again.
To open the Spurl bar, press the Spurl bar button (Can't find it? Click here)
Usually, the quickest way to find the spurl you are looking for is to use the search box at the top of the Spurl bar. Just type in a search phrase and press Enter or click the Search button (
). Spurl.net will search all the information you entered when spurling the page as well as the entire text of the page as it was when you spurled it. The information you entered weighs much more than the page text, so if you remember a tag or words from your description or snip, use them for the best results.
The Spurl bar also has four tabs, each giving quick access to some of the main functions of the Spurl.net service:
- Quick
- Categories
- Tags
- Spurl.net
The first three tabs: Quick, Categories and Tags present other ways to access your Spurls:
- Quick holds three lists of spurls you are likely to be seeking:
- Most used spurls: The pages you've most frequently visited through Spurl.net.
- Recently visited spurls: The pages you've most recently visited through Spurl.net.
- Recently spurled: The pages you've most recently spurled to your Spurl.net account.
- Categories shows a folder tree holding all your links. Use the + sign to open a folder and click a link to open it in the main window. Note that if you have a lot of spurls in your account, the links will not be shown until after you've pressed the title of the category you want to open.
- Tags enables you to look up your spurls by tags. A tag is a descriptive keyword, entered when spurling a page, to enable you to quickly access your spurls again by typing them in. Type the name of a tag, or click it on the on-screen list to look up all spurls that you have assigned the tag to.
